We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Engineering & Maintenance Manager to oversee and optimize the performance of our maintenance teams and ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. What You'll Do:
Lead and Coordinate Teams: Manage and direct the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers, ensuring equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently and effectively.
Plan and Prioritize: Determine schedules, sequences, and work assignments based on priorities, equipment needs, and personnel skills.
Support Engineering Projects: Provide valuable input on engineering projects that impact manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
Ensure Compliance: Compile data, create reports, and maintain compliance with all regulatory policies at the city, state, and federal levels. Communicate challenges and opportunities related to environmental, regulatory, and safety practices.
Monitor Performance: Oversee employee work levels, review performance, and maintain tool and part inventories to ensure optimal working conditions.
Promote Safety: Investigate accidents and injuries, prepare findings reports, and implement safety training for workers to minimize risks.
Drive Team Success: Recommend and initiate personnel actions, such as hiring, promotions, and disciplinary measures, to build a strong, capable team.
Maintain Records: Keep detailed operational and personnel records, including time and production data, inventory statistics, and maintenance reports.
Develop and Implement Policies: Create, evaluate, and refine maintenance policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Provide Guidance: Counsel employees on work-related issues and assist in correcting job-skill deficiencies through targeted training and support.
Conduct Inspections: Examine systems, facilities, and equipment to determine necessary installations, services, or repairs.
Foster a Positive Work Environment: Conduct business with integrity, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and adhere to quality principles and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Leadership: Proven experience in managing maintenance teams with a focus on collaboration, productivity, and safety.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical and electronic equipment, and maintenance best practices.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
Commitment to Quality and Safety: Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Integrity: A strong commitment to conducting all business with honesty and respect for others.
Bachelor's degree would be helpful...but experience is tough to beat. Ideal would be Chemical Engineering or Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering.
