FPC of Hendersonville is assisting a leading automation manufacturer find a seasoned Supply Chain Buyer with expertise in effectively representing a company throughout the sourcing process. This role involves strategic vendor selection and management, aiming to secure top-quality products within specified timelines and agreed-upon terms. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in navigating these responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Salary range is $90K-$110K with competitive benefits including monthly and yearly bonuses, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Independently procure components, materials, and equipment considering factors like economic order quantities, factoring in price, delivery costs, demand levels, timing, market trends, and potential design changes/obsolescence.
• Optimize product deliveries to minimize inventory while meeting production needs and assessing financial risks.
• Identify and assess vendors, considering capabilities and driving improvements.
• Negotiate costs, ensure optimal terms, and perform cost analyses.
• Initiate projects to resource parts, recommend alternate designs, and conduct "should-cost" analysis.
• Lead resolution on supplier issues, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions.
• Review key purchasing drivers and adjust as needed for business requirements.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
• Microsoft Office Experience Required.
• Technical understanding specifications and reading blueprints.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with suppliers and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while performing essential duties.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel a plus. 
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required
