JOB DESCRIPTION: Training & Organizational Development Manager sought by a major Facility Protection Systems Company in a “significant” Growth Mode. The TRAINING & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will be challenged with building this new Department from the “ground up.” Position will be located in Mobile , AL and reporting to the Corporate Director of HR. Will have total responsibility for the Creation, Development, Management of Training and Learning Objectives for the total Organization. Job functions include:
· Create and implement the annual strategy for developing and executing training requirements to meet organizational needs.
· Collaborate with Senior Leadership to design, develop, and deliver training curriculum for employees on both the Technical and Professional sides of the organization.
· Start up technical training center(s) for organization. Establish technical training curriculum and learning paths.
· Partner with external vendors and technical suppliers to establish Training Materials.
· Establish Technical Documentation, SOPs, User Manuals and Training Literature for various roles where appropriate.
· Develop a Succession Planning Program / Process . Train Managers on same. Includes a 9 Box Performance Assessment Process and Employee Development Methods.
· Conduct Training Needs Assessments and prioritize Training based on the critical Business issues. Consult with Leadership to identify, and assess Training issues, and provide appropriate recommendations
· Partner with Operations Leadership to Develop Training Guides and SOPs for Field Technical Training.
· Develop and oversee Learning Management System with Self-Directed Learning resources and E-learning opportunities.
· Identify and administer Grant Funding opportunities.
· Develop / establish Manager & Front-Line Leader Training Programs.
· Create Internships and Apprenticeship Programs to meet Organizational Growth Talent Needs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS Degree in Human Resources or related Degree.
- Min 5 years Training & OD experience including Needs Assessment, Curriculum Development/Design, Succession Planning, 9 Box Performance Assessment System.
- Experience with both Technical & Professional Training Program Creations.
- 10% Travel to various Company Division Locations.
