PROCESS ENGINEER accountable for Process & Project Engineering, and will be responsible for the following equipment:
• Bulk Material handling.
• Ingredient preparation.
• Liquid processing – aseptic technology
• Filling / Packing
• Environment and operational safety for all areas above
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:
• Lead / support, design as per Nestlé Engineering principles, installation, start-up and commissioning at pre-determined guaranteed performance, all the equipment and lines included in his/her area of responsibility.
• Responsible for the process engineering and improvements in the areas of Bulk Material Handling, Ingredient Preparation, CIP, Liquids Processing, & Fill/Pack areas
• Coordinate with other functions: quality, operations and environment/safety, to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensures compliance of installation with PMO and FDA regulations in his areas of responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise, problem solving, project management and coaching of peers and other staff.
• Responsible for improvement initiatives that define equipment data, equipment capabilities, utilization, efficiencies and obsolescence in his area of responsibility
• Manage the engineering and optimization of the following in his area of responsibility:
o Process development and optimization
o Identification and qualification of alternate sources for raw materials and components.
o Automation Scope Development
o Equipment qualification
• Develop/promote support strategies for key OEMs and maintain robust relationships.
• Responsible for managing Contractors, as required, meeting project and budgetary expectations.
• Authors and review documents including Automation Documents, Preventive Maintenance plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Material specs, and other forms. Author and review validation and change control documents such as master plans, protocols, summary reports and change requests
• Develop project justification and engineering proposals including providing input for capital planning process
Works collaboratively within as well as with other Engineers and Technology Community e.g., Technology and Engineering, global colleagues
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical and Food Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements:
• 2 years of engineering experience in chemical or aseptic process
• 1 years’ experience in engineering and maintenance of a continuous liquid process with multiple unit operations
• 1 years of Project Management experience.
Preferred:
• Experience on Factory Maintenance and Process Engineering
• 3 years of engineering experience in aseptic process in an FDA and PMO regulated food and beverage plant
• Experience on UHT operation
• Proven experience in process control both in handling powder and liquids
• Able and willing to work flexible hours
• Knowledge on Homogenizers
• Knowledge on CIP systems
SKILLS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Good organizational/administrative skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skill
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
- Project Management in the chemical, pharmaceutical or food industry.
Preferred:
- Process qualification, validation in the pharmaceutical or food industry IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Knowledge on FDA & GMP/GAMP regulation.
- SAP Experience
