Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop: Manage, recruit, and grow a team of ~25 engineers across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems disciplines.
- Innovate: Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Streamline: Implement processes to enhance team communication and efficiency.
- Collaborate: Work closely with R&D and manufacturing teams to bring products from concept to production.
- Plan: Ensure the right resources are available to meet our business goals.
- Strategize: Play a key role in project planning and prioritization.
- Support: Guide managers and engineers to meet technical goals within budget and on time.
- Develop: Provide training and career development for your team.
- Report: Present plans and progress to our leadership team.
- Solve: Proactively address staffing and resource challenges with creative solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 10+ years in engineering leadership with a focus on product development or production.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead small- to medium-sized teams.
- Communication: Strong communication skills across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally (5%).
Bonus Points
- Industry Experience: Background in aerospace, defense, or medical industries, especially with spacecraft products. Automotive could work too -- assuming advanced tech applications.
- Certifications: PMP certification or similar engineering management credentials.
