Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing the engineering tasks necessary to efficiently process products through the Test and Burn-In departments. Key responsibilities include designing and developing essential test hardware and software, as well as maintaining and controlling Automated Test Equipment (ATE), standard bench test equipment, ovens, and other departmental tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and Optimize: Review device specifications, customer Source Control Drawings (SCDs), Standard Military Drawings (SMDs), and other relevant documents to determine the most suitable test platforms and equipment. Develop practical, cost-effective solutions to ensure full compliance with all electrical test requirements.

Provide Engineering Quotes: Review relevant documentation to offer thorough quote information to the Sales department, including any necessary Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs for processing potential business.

Test Program Development: Define, develop, debug, and implement electrical test programs for specific device types using high-speed ATE and compliant test methodologies.

Vendor Management: Identify and develop alternative sources for test services and software, including specifying requirements, vendor qualification, reviewing RFQs, and certifying software.

Documentation: Create written documentation, including test hardware schematics, engineering drawings, standards, specifications, data analysis, and technical reports. Generate comprehensive test kit documentation and participate in peer reviews of other engineers' documentation.

Project Management: Work independently on small to moderately complex test engineering projects or assist on larger, more complex projects.

Design and Development: Design and develop moderate to complex factory test equipment, fixtures, and hardware interfaces. Coordinate the programming of automatic factory test equipment and validate test programs for completeness and accuracy.

Experimental Investigations: Conduct experiments on test methodologies, fixture design, product yield improvement, and process quality controls. Analyze results and implement solutions as needed.

Technical Analysis: Provide technical analysis of product issues related to internal, vendor, or customer concerns. Assist in resolving identified issues.

Customer Communication: Liaise with customers regarding the completeness, repeatability, and accuracy of test programs. Review and propose solutions for any identified issues.

Equipment Maintenance: Assist with routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs of ATE systems.

Cost Management: Be mindful of business economics and competition, focusing on cost control and reduction wherever feasible.

Job Requirements:

Education: B.S. Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physical Science from an accredited institution, Professional Engineering registration, or equivalent practical education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two years in electrical testing of integrated circuits within a Product or Test Engineering role, with at least one year of experience programming applicable ATE or equivalent test experience
