Job Summary

Are you ready to revolutionize the world of energy storage and drive the future of manufacturing? We're seeking a passionate and visionary Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the charge in ensuring the efficient and flawless manufacturing of large-scale Energy Storage Systems (ESS) products, while surpassing cost, schedule, and quality targets. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and global partners, you will have the power to transform ideas into reality and shape the future of sustainable energy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing activities for new product development releases and production volumes to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Work with worldwide Manufacturing partners to communicate process workflow and any unique assembly methods. 
  • Work with the ESS Product Development teams to affect product design addressing manufacturability concerns.
  • Drive manufacturing continuous process improvement.
  • Participated in Design review with the Development team (DFM).
  • Manage and communicate manufacturing activities within a collaborative cross-functional environment, communicating risk and recovery activities when necessary.
  • Support manufacturing source selection and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with international supply chain and contract manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated manufacturing leadership and project management experience, including lean and six-sigma practices.
  • Knowledge and experience using MES / ERP systems for shop floor control, change control, and reporting.
  • Experience in product design, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment, and quality control standards.
  • Background in electrical equipment, energy storage, or power conversion equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately  25% domestically and internationally.
  • Strong manufacturing skills in a high-tech, dynamic growth industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams inside and outside the organization including external Contract Manufacturers in other global regions.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritize activities.
  • Able to work under pressure and on fixed timescales.
  • Experience with manufacturing products and process development for large-scale, complex industrial equipment.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement using structured problem-solving tools and established industry practices.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to negotiate and handle difficult situations.
