We’re hiring an Operations Manager to take ownership of 2nd / 3rd shifts inside a fast-growing, temperature-controlled distribution operation supporting major food customers—including a large ice cream program heading into peak season.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll run the floor, develop supervisors, and drive performance in a high-volume environment.
If you’re the type who prefers ownership over oversight, this is your lane.
What You’ll Do
• Own 2nd / 3rd shift operations end-to-end (inbound, outbound, inventory)
• Lead and develop 2 supervisors and ~40 associates
• Drive performance across safety, productivity, quality, and labor
• Build daily labor plans aligned to volume
• Maintain strong floor presence—this is not a desk job
• Support customer commitments in a fast-paced environment
• Develop and strengthen supervisor performance
What Success Looks Like
• Stabilize and execute through peak season (ice cream volume)
• Improve labor efficiency and control overtime
• Elevate supervisor accountability and performance
• Maintain morale under increased volume
What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
• 3–7+ years in warehouse or distribution leadership
• Experience running shift-based operations
• Strong labor management and execution skills
• Comfortable working 4 PM – 12:30 AM (M–F, some Saturdays)
• Hands-on leadership style
Nice to Have:
• Food-grade, cold storage, or foodservice experience
• Case pick or high-volume operations
• Supervisor development experience
• WMS exposure (Korber/HighJump preferred)
