Position Summary:

The Terminal Manager will oversee the daily operations of Client Company’s flatbed trucking terminal, ensuring efficient and effective management of fleet resources, personnel, and customer relationships. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in transportation management and a passion for growth and innovation. The Terminal Manager will play a key role in driving the expansion of our fleet and maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the terminal. Ensure all activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers. Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any service issues or concerns.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage terminal staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and support personnel. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Financial Management: Develop and manage the terminal budget, monitor financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to develop and execute growth strategies, including fleet expansion, market development, and operational enhancements.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements among all staff members.
Customer-Focused Solutions: Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, enhance customer satisfaction, and address any emerging market needs.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with a focus on flatbed trucking operations. Proven track record of managing a fleet and leading a team effectively.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, coaching, and development. Ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve operational goals.
Customer Orientation: Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive, innovative thinker with a passion for growth and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operational improvement.
Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and cost control in a transportation environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred but not required. Relevant certifications or additional training in transportation management is a plus.
