We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Site Leader to join our team and lead our distribution center to new heights.
Job Description:
As a Distribution Site Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our distribution center. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and effective management of the facility, enabling us to meet our customer demands, optimize inventory, and enhance overall operational performance. You will play a crucial role in driving our distribution strategy, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans for the distribution center, aligning them with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Operational Excellence: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
Team Management: Lead and motivate a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and warehouse associates, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and budgets, to meet production and distribution targets.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products leaving the distribution center meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to meet customer demands and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Cost Control: Monitor and control operational expenses to maximize cost-efficiency and profitability.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies, especially in areas like health and safety.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and making data-driven decisions.
Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective inbound shipments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in distribution or logistics management.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and distribution processes.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Lean Six Sigma and / or Project Management certifications are a bonus.
