Full-service Engineering firm searching for a structural engineer to join their team. This can range from graduate level to potentially a recent PE. This position will fill a need in our Structural Team, within a Building Services team– working with an established group of talented building design consultants.
The position will serve under the guidance of our Structural Lead and provides for mentorship and instruction of many of the necessary skills. Prior experience in Engineering Design, Revit Drafting, Structural Calculation Software and Field Investigations are all a significant plus. Candidates should highlight their experience in these areas if they have it. In this role you will work with our senior engineers as well as peer-level designers and EITs to complete structural engineering design and field tasks. External collaboration through formal and informal meetings, calls, design sessions, owner collaboration, contractor assistance and construction site visits will all be part of the job. You will work closely with development partners, clients, architects, the Building Services group, and the Civil Services group to provide fully integrated full-service engineering designs.

This position will ideally be a mix of office and field applications with a rough breakdown of 80-90% office and 10-20% field. Candidate will learn and develop skills to provide a well-rounded approach to structural engineering and position will be integral to helping our team continue to provide the incredible service. Candidate will work with a small but agile engineering team and will be part of a full service approach, working frequently with in-house civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering services in addition to their own. The vast majority of construction document creation will be completed using Autodesk Revit and candidates will be taught to use this software successfully and to their advantage. Additional software utilization will be required for structural analysis including but not limited to – RISA 3D, RISA Floor, RISA Foundation, EnerCalc, and some specialty software types from various suppliers. Candidate will be mentored and assisted in obtaining their PE licensure, if needed.
