Due to continued growth our client has engaged our services to identify a high potential Accounting Manager. In this role, you will report to the Global Finance Director, responsible for accounting and controls for our client’s North American business. This position will manage 3 accounting professionals and actively participate in the company's continuous improvement cycle.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately oversee the financial management of the business to improve efficiency, reduce company costs
• Advise leadership on key control policies and provide necessary accounting guidance
• Analyze trends and deviations in operational performance and recommend corrective actions to management
• Collaborate with the parent corporate accounting group to provide support in terms of metrics, analysis, and reporting
• Manage the monthly accounting close process
• Review journal entries and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and adherence to JBT company standards
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests
• Perform all statutory tax reporting for the Raleigh location
• Perform and manage ad-hoc projects and analyses related Raleigh operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• CPA/MBA preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, operations finance, forecasting, budgeting, data analysis, cost analysis, and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required
• ERP implementation experience preferred
• Must have experience working in accounting roles within manufacturing space
