Job TITLE: Total Rewards & HRIS Manager 

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

STATUS: Full time, Salary, Exempt

SUMMARY: The Total Rewards Manager will design, develop, and implement compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain the enterprise’s diverse professional employees. This requires working closely with the department director, business unit leaders, executives, and finance and HR colleagues to ensure that Altarum provides a fair and competitive rewards system for our professional services firm.


Acts as the benefit Plan Administrator for retirement plans, self-funded health plans, and insured and self-funded welfare plans.

Manages executive and employee compensation programs and systems, analyzing individual and organizational compensation data, researching industry trends, conducting market surveys, and performing job analysis to ensure pay is current and competitive.

Manages the design and daily operations of the UKG HRIS system including configuration, processing employee data, preparing reports, managing vendors and ensuring that all HR-related systems are regularly updated and compliant with applicable regulations.

Communicates clearly and with empathy, and proactively advises employees and management on decisions, and policy interpretations.

Conducts financial analysis and forecasts, and tracks and manages within budgeted parameters.

Leads audit response and required testing and communications.

Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data; works with internal IT to create dashboards and reports.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations related to employee compensation and benefits.


·       Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of legal compliance and regulations are required.

·       A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. CBP, CEBS, CCP certifications a plus.

·       Five years of experience in compensation and benefits management.  This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining employee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.

·       Must possess in-depth knowledge of HR-related software and databases.
