FPC of Hendersonville is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated manufacturing professional for a Quality Manager role. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities, works closely with automation, engineering and safety functions to ensure all aspects of change management are executed, and maintain all quality control standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain systems for quality control of raw materials and finished products; support chemistry/quality manufacturing issues; liaise with R&T, Technical Service, Marketing & Sales, and Production; manage Lab activities within budget.
  • Optimize plant efficiency, output, and surface treaters' performance to meet supply needs.
  • Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements.
  • Collaborate on engineering analysis, including design and cost analysis.
  • Oversee risk assessment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in plant operations.
  • Manage the QC Lab, conduct testing, maintain supplies, and oversee Quality Analysts.
  • Lead Corrective and Preventative Action documentation, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action Planning.
  • Facilitate process mapping, FMEA sessions, and Gage R&Rs with the operations team.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in corrective action and quality test data software.
  • Ensure root causes of customer product quality incidents are identified and controlled.
  • Establish product inspection standards and manage raw material quality inspections.

 

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 
  • 5+ years of quality management in a manufacturing environment required 
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Continuous Improvement
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Testing Procedures and Statistical Analysis
  • US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required
