The Inventory Control Manager will provide support, training, system maintenance, and communication to drive inventory performance at all levels of the business (factories through end customers). The ICM is responsible for improving inventory accuracy, turnover, and availability within the Supply Chain. The role will actively participate in daily management activities, including reporting/presenting performance metrics to the business leadership team and serving as a situational leader for the Warehouse Value Stream Manager.
Responsibilities:
Works with all entities in the Supply Chain to set inventory performance based on corporate inventory/working capital goals.
Responsible for ensuring min/max roll-up (from the Reps > factories)
Responsible for overseeing changes in min/max numbers throughout the supply chain.
Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy/control.
SOP - Identify, create, and implement SOPs, as necessary.
Plays a critical role in the planning, execution, and management of the cycle count program and annual physical inventory.
Maintains and distributes performance reports for key inventory and delivery management metrics.
Experience and Skills required:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting including experience in production, warehouse/stockroom management, scheduling, ERP, and/or materials management.
Strong Lean Manufacturing skills. Six Sigma certification a plus.
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus.
Must have the ability to lead, train and drive change.
Experience with Microsoft D365 or other ERP software preferred.
Advanced skills in MS Office, primarily Excel and Access, preferred.
