Our expanding and industry leading Fortune 500 manufacturing client is seeking a Director of Operations (Multi-Site) to join their team in the Fayetteville, NC area (relocation package available). We are seeking a hands-on, strategic, results oriented manufacturing leader to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations. The Director of Operations will have proven and demonstrated accomplishments implementing Lean/Visual Factory, Gemba, SQDC/KPI metrics along with successful experience leading world class manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Champion and implement lean manufacturing principles throughout the facility.
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the overall success of manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, production schedules, and quality control processes.
  • Initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of supervisors, engineers, and operators.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and foster professional development.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to meet financial targets.
  • Keen focus on driving improved productivity.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain and improve product quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Plant Manager in a world class manufacturing facility.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing change initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong communication, people development and interpersonal skills.
