Job Summary:

Join our team as an LTE / 5G Modem Engineer, where you will be responsible for the design and planning of wireless radio communications systems. Your role will involve radio propagation modeling, interference analysis, frequency coordination, and the development of DSP software for LTE / 5G technology. This position requires expertise in estimating Doppler and propagation delays, designing algorithms to manage link budgets, and implementing compensation algorithms at the LTE / 5G Air interface and physical layer.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the link budget of LTE / 5G system between satellite and UEs
  • Design the physical layer receiver for LTE eNodeB / 5G gNodeB on the satellite
  • Implement baseband modems on software-defined radio platforms

 

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in engineering with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth understanding of wireless communication systems, including OFDM/MIMO
  • Experience in physical layer algorithm design, validation, feature bring up, and commercialization
  • Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G standards, such as PHY, MAC, and RRC specifications
  • Familiarity with software-defined radios and their implementation
  • Proficiency in existing telecommunications software stacks like GSM, LTE, and 5G NR implementations
  • Hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization
  • Deep comprehension of communication theory and signal processing related algorithms design
  • Experience using MATLAB or Python, and/or C/C++ for algorithm development and simulation
  • Experience with test equipment such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers
