Process Engineer

Location: West Haven, CT

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 annually (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team in West Haven, CT. Reporting to the Process Engineering Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our operations and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our key products through Statistical Process Control (SPC). This role involves enhancing first pass yields, driving process improvements, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and adherence to documented work practices
• Overseeing SPC activities for critical processes and closely monitoring process performance
• Identifying root causes for product deviations and implementing necessary corrective actions
• Preparing and submitting statistical reports to customers in a timely manner
• Managing Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) and driving resolution of identified issues
• Assisting in addressing customer complaints and participating in Corrective Action Request (CAR) processes
• Developing and updating Work Instructions for existing products
• Troubleshooting equipment-related issues and collaborating with Maintenance/Production teams
• Participating in Plant EHS Activities and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Coordinating and overseeing equipment calibration programs

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience in a process engineering role
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated and quality-focused with the ability to work independently
• Team player with effective communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical documents and follow instructions
• Familiarity with P&ID’s, process control equipment, and environmental control systems
