Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

Job Summary:

The Controls and Automation Specialist position in Clay Hill, FL requires providing efficient automation and controls support to plant operations. The primary focus is on enhancing equipment reliability and availability. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing issues in various areas such as Electrical, Automation, Networks, Process, Instrumentation, and Controls Systems. The role also involves performing preventive maintenance and calibration of plant controls systems and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems in electrical, automation, and control systems
• Support troubleshooting, process/system improvements, preventive maintenance development, and contractor performance monitoring
• Maintain documentation of all operational activities

Requirements:

• Five or more years of experience with PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, electrical, hydraulics, controls, and pneumatics
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency in reading PLC code and schematic wiring
• Experience with AB PLCs, “Studio 5000”, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, and industrial control systems
• Knowledge of electrical standards and safe work practices
• Familiarity with Industrial Ethernet Networks and network communication standards
• Skilled in using electrical test equipment
• Understanding of safety systems for plant equipment
• Experience with calibration procedures for process instruments
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD
