About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused leader to establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) function supporting large-scale, mission-critical data center infrastructure across multiple sites.

This role is responsible for driving program-level oversight across the full lifecycle of development and construction projects, from early-stage site development through commissioning and operational readiness. The Director, PMO will ensure consistency, visibility, and execution discipline across a growing portfolio of data center builds.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of infrastructure delivery experience and program leadership, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and execution level—driving alignment across cross-functional teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead and build the PMO function for data center development and infrastructure delivery across multiple concurrent sites
  • Establish governance frameworks, reporting standards, and execution processes to drive consistency and scalability
  • Ensure alignment between development, construction, and operations to support efficient program delivery

End-to-End Program Oversight

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure programs, including:
    • Site acquisition and due diligence
    • Development, permitting, and design coordination
    • Construction execution and commissioning
    • Operational readiness and customer delivery
  • Integrate all phases into a cohesive program roadmap with clearly defined milestones and interdependencies

Program Governance & Execution Discipline

  • Develop and enforce PMO standards, including:
    • Standardized schedules, reporting structures, and tracking tools
    • Stage-gate processes and milestone-based delivery frameworks
    • Risk, issue, and change management protocols
  • Drive accountability and execution discipline across all active projects

Construction & Project Execution Oversight

  • Provide program-level oversight of construction execution across multiple sites
  • Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to align schedules, track key milestones, and proactively manage dependencies and risks impacting delivery timelines
  • Drive critical path visibility and ensure adherence to delivery schedules
  • Identify and escalate risks impacting cost, schedule, or scope

Capital Program Management (CapEx Oversight)

  • Provide oversight of capital deployment across the infrastructure portfolio
  • Partner with Finance to ensure:
    • Accurate forecasting and budget alignment
    • Visibility into spend, commitments, and variances
    • Alignment between capital planning and execution timelines

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the central coordination point across:
    • Construction & Engineering
    • Operations / Critical Facilities
    • Finance (FP&A, capital planning)
    • Legal (contracts, land, permitting)
    • Sales / Customer Delivery
  • Ensure alignment across all stakeholders to support seamless program execution

Executive Reporting & Strategic Visibility

  • Deliver clear, executive-level reporting on:
    • Program status, schedules, and key milestones
    • Capital deployment and budget performance
    • Risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership to support decision-making

Scalability & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and reduce execution risk
  • Implement tools, systems, and best practices to support multi-site scalability
  • Continuously evolve PMO standards as the organization grows

Required Experience

  • 8–15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, or capital project delivery
  • Proven experience delivering complex, multi-phase projects (data centers strongly preferred; mission-critical or industrial environments acceptable)
  • Experience operating at a program or portfolio level across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Construction lifecycle and project execution
    • Scheduling, critical path management, and delivery risk
    • Capital project (CapEx) planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • Hyperscale data center development and construction experience
  • Experience building or leading a PMO or program governance function
  • Experience managing multi-site, concurrent infrastructure builds
  • Familiarity with tools such as Primavera, MS Project, Procore, or similar

What Sets You Apart

  • Ability to operate at both:
    • Strategic level (program oversight, executive communication)
    • Execution level (driving timelines, resolving delivery challenges)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical
  • High ownership mindset with a focus on execution, accountability, and results
  • Proven ability to bring structure and discipline to complex, fast-growing environments
