Job Title: Associate Vice President/Senior Director of Distribution Operations

Location: Milford, CT

Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Daily Operations Leadership: Take charge of daily operations, overseeing workflow scheduling, productivity and quality monitoring, process troubleshooting, and all activities necessary to ensure on-time deliveries and exceptional customer service.
Safety and Compliance: Establish and uphold a safe and compliant work environment, with a primary focus on minimizing OSHA recordable incidents and lost time occurrences.
Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing distribution center team through strong leadership and management practices. This encompasses effective training, safety protocols, communication strategies, and performance management to ensure superior Distribution Center morale and the effective management of all team member programs.
Performance Improvement: Identify, implement, and advocate for warehouse performance and cost-improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence.
Strategic Initiatives: Develop forward-thinking distribution initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain effectiveness. Implement and oversee project work through the utilization of warehouse systems, with a relentless focus on continuous productivity improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Cultivate constructive working relationships with other site leaders and business leaders across [Your Company Name] to identify process gaps and ensure alignment of distribution operations with the rest of the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Possess 10+ years of experience in distribution center management with a demonstrable track record of achieving growth and profitability targets, including cost reduction, increased operational efficiency, productivity enhancement, and quality improvement.
Team Leadership: Showcase strong personal leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to build and retain high-performing teams of leaders and front-line staff.
Supply Chain Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge and extensive experience with key supply chain and logistics processes, automation and integrations, best practices, and process improvement methodologies.
Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong analytical, financial, and P&L skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate data into operational and financial outcomes.
