Role Overview:

Confidential Search: Global leader in commercial HVAC is seeking an Area Engineering Manager with experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) to lead the Company’s Hardware and Software Engineers. The Area Engineering Manager will work closely with the North America Engineering Manager to drive consistent improvement and innovative engineering methods.

Responsibilities:

·         Interpret construction plans and specifications

·         Coordinate hardware drawing sets, accurate software programs, timelines, and budgeting.

·         Assist Sales in meetings, scope reviews, and presentations for bids

·         Establish and maintain vendor relationships

·         Developing, training, and mentoring Software and Hardware Engineers

·         Participate in peer reviews, turnover meetings, and post-mortem meetings on priority projects

·         Conduct effective interviews with engineering candidates

·         Support operations in revenue and manpower forecasts

·         Professionally represent the company in meetings, prioritizing the company's best interests

·         Ensure compliance with organizational safety and ethics standards

Qualifications:

·         BS Degree in Engineering require, MS Degree preferred

·         5-10 years of experience in BMS/BAS or controls field

·         2-3 years of people management experience

·         3+ years of experience with controls hardware design engineering, automation programming preferred.

·         Highly organized with strong time management skills

·         Strong problem-solving skills, including remote troubleshooting.

·         Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team

·         20% travel, including air travel and overnight stays

Salary:

·         $120K-$160K, exact pay dependent on individual skills and work history
