Regional Account Manager – Pulp and Paper – Virginia
FPC Bangor is looking for a sales professional to manage pulp & paper accounts for a chemical supplier. Responsible for growing and maintaining business in the paper industry. A successful history of cold-calling, prospecting, and creating new business is highly desired. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on solving customer problems. Excellent career growth potential in a growing organization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Develop new business by identifying customer needs and improvement opportunities.
· Manage key accounts with growth opportunities.
· Utilize a unique line of paper specialty chemical solutions to gain new customers.
· Work in a team-selling environment where sales representatives, service representatives, technical specialists, and R&D scientists work together to meet customers' productivity, sustainability, and safety goals.
· Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements to all company functional areas to ensure that team-selling efforts are coordinated.
· Maintain a strong on-site customer presence in the customer manufacturing sites.
· Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A bachelor’s degree in paper engineering, chemical engineering, or similar plus 5+ years of experience in sales to the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
· Ability to build and manage long-term business relationships.
· Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer consultation, negotiation, and problem resolution.
· Ability to learn technologies and utilize that knowledge to fulfill customer needs.
· Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn other business management tools.
· Experience or ability to learn lab test procedures to validate product performance.
· Ability to travel daily, with up to 50% overnight travel.
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
