FPC Bangor is assisting a manufacturing facility looking for a Reliability Engineering Subject Matter Expert to provide technical and strategic expertise in life cycle asset management. The Reliability Engineer will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for process mapping and improvements in equipment reliability, availability and maintainability.
Responsibilities
Develop equipment system and location hierarchy.
Perform critical analysis and determine risk priority numbers for various equipment.
Perform RCM/FMEA for equipment.
Develop equipment maintenance plans that contain failure modes mapped to technologies or tasks.
Create both predictive and preventive maintenance tasks.
Coordinate the implementation of the reliability-based maintenance strategy master plan.
Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis
Define reliability-based queries and reports to support a continuous improvement process.
Required skills.
Ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment.
Capable of functioning effectively in a team environment.
Proficient in Excel pivot tables and charting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Ability to organize and manage concurrent activities.
Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
Knowledge of standard quality and reliability tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), Weibull Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistics.
Skills in facilitating meetings, making presentations, and communicating with others.
EXPERIENCE
Skill in using reliability prediction and calculation techniques for both repairable and non-repairable systems.
CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer) certification through ASQ (American Society of Quality) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) certification through SMRP (Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.
Experience with Six Sigma methodology.
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: design, test, manufacturing, or quality.
Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for reliability management.
Understanding of product reliability goals, reliability growth, and reliability prediction
Experience in applying thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic analysis, vibration analysis, and motor analysis and associated performance trending programs,
5 to 15 years’ experience in reliability engineering related processes.
Expertise in one or more areas of maintenance and reliability, material management, planning and scheduling, and/or CMMS / EAM / ERP optimization is desired.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science degree in Reliability, Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.
