FPC Bangor is working with a paper manufacturer that is looking for a Process Control Engineer.The Process Control Engineer will have a BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and manage the network structure and expansions. Minimum of 3 years’ experience (5+ years preferred) with concentration in system integration, DCS and Rockwell PLC configuration.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain network IP addresses and routing configuration.
Interface with IT as a system administrator to support communication with business systems to maintain system security and manage risk mitigation activities.
Manage and maintain Rockwell software licenses.
Upgrade operating systems and firmware/software revisions of HMI and PLC equipment to remain current with Process Control Platform standards.
Project Engineering
Specify, install, and maintain QCS devices throughout the mill, including Beta Gauge and Portaspec coatweight measurement systems, on-line glossmeters, moisture meters, and Cognex/Ametek web inspection systems.
Specify and support test lab measurement systems; Portaspecs, Profilometers, and mottle meter.
Manage capital and maintenance projects to install new control equipment in the mill.Support other engineers by completing the electrical, PLC, and HMI controls on upgrades and new equipment installations.
Assist maintenance & operations personnel with troubleshooting equipment reliability issues with follow-up participation in the appropriate RCFA activities.
Process Engineering
Monitor and optimize control loop tuning for mill equipment.
Implement strategies to incorporate new sensor equipment on process lines to improve operating efficiencies.
Work with Production Engineers to implement system changes to improve operations.
Manage the PI data collection system to monitor process operations.
Develop OPC solutions to transfer roll ID and process information to/from the MICS system.
