Procurement Manager

One of FPC Bangor’s long-time clients has an immediate need for a multi-site Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for directing the purchasing and stores activities for three operating companies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Procurement of service contracts, equipment and supplies.

·       Meet current and future operating company requirements in a timely manner and including quality, price, and total vendor service.

 

SKILLS

  • Solid working knowledge of supervising and managing employees.
  • Extensive knowledge in cost analysis, internal controls, inventory control, purchasing, shipping/receiving, negotiating contracts, and records management.
  • Working knowledge of automated purchasing operations including data input.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • B.S./B.A. in Business Management
  • Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management
  • Purchasing management experience in pulp and paper preferred ISM certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is preferred.
