The HSE Engineer participates in all HSE functions, including Security, throughout the plant site. Responsible for working with all levels of plant personnel.
This position will be focused on Health, Safety and Security but will have Environmental responsibilities within the site.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage Site HSE standards to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Ensure compliance against all applicable regulations (OSHA, local, etc.) 3. Maintain oversight of the Plant Safety Training to ensure that all personnel are trained in an effective and timely manner. 4. Conduct Safety Orientation for new, monthly/annual safety training and safety meetings. 5. Monitor and report HSE Program activities. 6. Conduct periodic Work Permit Training and refreshers. 7. Write, support and audit Work Permits and improve process 8. Assure maintenance of SDS Program for raw materials and intermediates. 9. Coordinate/support Process Safety Management Program. 10. Manage and maintain HSE records. 11. Maintain HSE metrics for monthly and annual reporting 12. Perform all regulatory reporting including OSHA 300 Logs 13. Perform and/or manage HSE equipment inspections/checks as needed 14. Coordinate employee and area exposure monitoring as required 15. Participate and/or lead risk assessments of processes and equipment. 16. Support production and engineering in proper creation of HSE Incident Reports and guide them through the investigation and corrective action process. 17. Manage PPE program for site 18. Lead/manage implementation of HSE management systems.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ hands on experience working HSE in a manufacturing environment.
