Our client, a respected, growth-oriented, diversely capable Industrial Electrical Equipment Company is seeking a technical sales professional for Industrial Power Systems (Generators and Switchgear) Sales for its Midwest Operations. Successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Technical sales skills and ability
- High energy level and closing skills
- Ability to travel and operate a motor vehicle
- Possess integrity, character and assertiveness
- Engineering degree preferred
- Generator or electrical technical experience is preferred
- Pre-existing relationships and market awareness of the heartland (Midwest US) and surrounding area is desired
The successful candidate will:
- Make sales and marketing calls on consulting engineers, electrical and mechanical contractors, OEM customers and end user customers in Eastern Iowa and NW Illinois.
- Identify power systems sales opportunities.
- Be the SME for diesel and gas fueled generators, switchgear, switches, and accessories for the company.
- Provide technical sales support and mentoring to the field sales force.
- Work in conjunction with inside sales support and project management to close and deliver sales.
- Manage accounts as assigned.
- Report to the company's Power Generation Sales Manager located in Des Moines, IA.
- Have the opportunity for unlimited earning potential in a fast paced, growing economy.
Territory Includes Eastern Iowa and NW Illinois. Travel is required thoughout the territory.
Successful candidate must be assertive and possess a high level of maturity, character and work ethic enabling positive results while working remotely, consistently away from direct supervision and oversight. Must be a fit for the corporate culture of a dynamic privately held business.
