The primary role of the Sales Engineer is to grow the company's business in the industrial markets, including primary management of our OEM accounts as well as coordination with our manufacturer’s reps for those markets. The company focuses on the design and manufacturing of electronic controls for mobile equipment industries such as agriculture, off-road, construction, railroad, turf care, military, emergency vehicles, and marine/watercrafts, that allow performace reliably in harsh environments. This person will provide solutions to customers and reach sales and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
Sales Development
Travel as Required- up to 50% but usually less
Territory Accountability - based on accounts rather than geographical location
Rep Coordination - coordinate sales with factory reps
Application Development - develop electronic solutions for each customer's specific application
Quoting - prepare accurate and timely quotes and present to customers
Project Supervision - oversee design and build of new products to ensure customer satisfaction
Supplier Relationships - work with vendors to obtain accurate information
Trade/Industry Knowledge - maintain awareness of new developments in relevant markets
Qualifications
Ability to identify, qualify, and close key accounts
Experience with a sales process and CRM systems
Average understanding of analog and digital circuits and preferred software
Thorough understanding of personal computer application software
Average understanding of manufacturing processes of PCBA
Valid US driver's license and insurance
Ability to make sales calls located in various states and outside the United States
Bachelor's degree or minimum 2 years related experience in the electronics industry, education and experience with electronic controls and systems preferred
Physically able to frequently lift and/or move 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move 25lbs
