Manager of LNG Gas Operations

Looking for an individual to lead operations involving the transportation of LNG to customer sites, and aiding set-up of LNG conversion process on site. Needs to be familiar with the CNG/LNG market (familiarity of the Delaware Basin is a plus) and able to manage a team who will be executing the operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages team of field supervisors, operators, maintenance supervisors and various field equipment
  • Responsible for calculating, designing, and ensuring proper flows, temperatures, and pressure levels
  • Plans, budgets, develops, and designs gas distribution system improvements and modifications
  • Provide engineering and project management services for all phases of a project to include scoping, estimating, scheduling, design, preparation of construction drawings, specifications and contracts, materials procurement, cost tracking, variance analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting, and recordkeeping
  • Conducts economic analyses and feasibility studies for various gas system proposals
  • Researches, develops, and updates design, material and construction standards and processes for all types of gas distribution facilities
  • Evaluates new technologies, materials and work methods that may be added to incorporate into standards
  • Analyzes a variety of operational technical issues to deliver sound, practical, cost-effective solutions to a wide variety of non-standard gas design, construction
  • Investigates process and material failures, participates in root cause analysis investigations
  • Trouble shoots and repairs equipment such as high-pressure control valves and regulators
  •  Provides professional customer service to both internal and external requestors
  •  Keeps informed of industry trends, policies, technical issues, and best practices in order to recommend and implement changes to benefit gas delivery business
  • Interacts with industry peers to maintain and develop best practices applicable to construction and material standards and specifications
  •  Provides technical leadership, training, oversight, and direction to fellow staff members
  • Trains new operators on job responsibilities, functions procedures, and safety
  • Ensures all decisions and recommendations are consistent with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration of company’s Operations and Maintenance Manual, as well as applicable industry standard specifications
  • Participate in after-hours emergency response program as a Duty Supervisor
  • Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related fields 
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school and 5 years industry experience as a practicing engineer is preferred
  • CNG & LNG Management license required  
  • Or must obtain CNG and LNG Management License within six months of employment
