The client is a leading North American building products manufacturer, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. They have 12 manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. As a top supplier in the building supplies markets, they have extensive scale, top brands, and longstanding relationships with the nation's largest home center retailers and building product distributors.
We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain!
Requirements
· 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or operations
· At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing transformation projects in manufacturing or a related industry.
· Deep understanding of procurement and supply chain challenges in industries reliant on commodities (steel, aluminum) and the associated risks with pricing and supply fluctuations.
· Strong experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), supply chain management tools, and predictive analytics. Experience with AI-driven tools for demand forecasting and procurement optimization is a plus.
· Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence frameworks to drive efficiency and cost savings.
· Strong negotiation skills and experience managing global supplier networks. Demonstrated ability to drive supplier performance and secure favorable terms.
· Experience leading large-scale supply chain transformations with a focus on rapid execution, cost optimization, and operational improvements.
· Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment across the organization.
· Expertise in supply chain risk management, including scenario planning and the development of contingency strategies to mitigate disruption risks.
· Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of supply chain operations.
· Lean Six Sigma, CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
· Experience leading or participating in digital transformations, particularly in integrating AI, automation, or other advanced technologies into procurement and supply chain functions preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
· End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership: Oversee all aspects of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management, ensuring alignment with business needs.
· Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to secure raw materials (e.g., steel, aluminum) at competitive prices. Implement supplier diversification strategies to mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity.
· Supply Chain Transformation: Lead the transformation of the supply chain using data analytics, AI-driven demand forecasting, and automation technologies. Collaborate with internal teams to modernize procurement and supply chain processes.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage ERP systems, predictive analytics, and supply chain management software to track KPIs (e.g., inventory turnover, procurement costs). Use data to identify inefficiencies and make informed decisions to improve performance.
· Supplier Negotiation & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating long-term contracts that align with company goals and mitigate price volatility. Manage supplier performance and drive cost optimization.
· Lean & Efficient Operations: Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste. Drive continuous improvement with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
· Risk Management & Resilience: Develop contingency plans and scenario analyses to mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, commodity price fluctuations, and logistical challenges.
· Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects aimed at quick wins and long-term gains in supply chain efficiency. Prioritize initiatives based on impact and resource availability, delivering results within tight deadlines.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the COO, CFO, operations teams, and external stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with business goals. Ensure clear communication across departments during the transformation process.

· Company is located in the Atlanta area, but this role is open to candidates who are willing to travel (up to 80%) to suppliers and the corporate HQ.
