Key Account Manager - VA

FPC Bangor is working with a leading global producer of specialty chemicals delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries. Products include water treatment chemistries, process aids, functional additives and cleaners and disinfectants, as well as state-of-the-art monitoring and control systems.

Responsibilities:

Manage an assigned account, or group of accounts, create value for customers through the technical service they provide; and identifying new product opportunities. Maintain and build assigned business relationships.

  • Review treatment programs and processes within the territory accounts ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention.
  • Coaching and mentoring of indirect reports as needed.
  • Conduct the necessary site and LMS/classroom training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites.
  • Sell new business and new applications in your territory – develop and implement sales plans on new opportunities.
  • Manage profitability of the account (pump settings, pricing, accounts receivable)
  • Review territory applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree 5+ years of industry experience (pulp and paper preferred) 
  • Documented results solving complex and non-routine technical problems.
  • Project management of complex projects
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them.
  • Ability to work with autonomy and direct/coach indirect reports.
  • Experience working with multi-levels in an organization to achieve results.
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication skills
  • Documented results using a consultive sales process.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
