The Project Manager’s primary responsibility will be to provide full capital project management support to the Spartanburg site
Location: Greenville/Spartanburg area, SC
Salary: $95K-$135k
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the resource optimization, industry best practices, HSE policies and Company values/pillars application in all the assigned capital projects implementation and engineering activities.
Capable of reviewing existing chemical processes, writing reports, specifying equipment and control strategies, developingcost estimates, tracking schedules, developing and submitting Capital Project Requests (RACE).
Individual must be an independent worker, a self-starter and motivated.
Responsible for keeping the plant P&ID's, plant drawings, loop sheets, and instrument database accurate.
Handling the site's industrial construction projects or parts of them (new installations, adaptations to existing installations and demolitions) as well as the testing and start-up of the installation, respecting the projects budgets, company's HSE policies, good engineering practices, values and strategic pillars.
Responsible for ensuring that the new installations are constructed according to the original design, identifying the possibledeviations and helping to implement the necessary corrections on time and cost.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)
5+ years of chemical manufacturing (preferred) or industrial manufacturing experience
Requires broad knowledge of project management disciplines
Must be able to complete or manage chemical plant design. (Equipment selection, efficient layouts etc.)
Must be able to complete or manage basic process design. (Equipment sizing, heat loads etc.)
Must be able to research and specify equipment.
Solid communication skills that includes written and formal presentations to upper management.
Prioritize, schedule, inspect work and (re)direct resources as necessary.
Familiar with using/creating engineering spreadsheets/calculations.
Individual must be organized, systematic, independent, and self-motivated.
Be able to participate in, and lead a (design) team.
Must be able to manage: 1) project schedules 2) project costs 3) contracts and 4) contractors.
Proficient use of spreadsheets, cost programs, and scheduling programs.
Exposed to, or willing to learn applicable OSHA standards.
