Summary: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales, business development, and customer relationship management within the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry. The site has a specific customer target of A&D and Industrial markets.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market penetration
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and networking
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth
Manage capture and proposal activities, including negotiations, pursuit status, teaming decisions, pricing, and win strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance to deliver solutions that meet client needs
Stay relevant with industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments to inform business strategy and decision-making
Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field
Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the contract electronics manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, including production/inventory control, material and capacity requirements, and master planning
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing cross-functional teams
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
Ability to travel domestically 25%
Located within driving distance to Methuen, MA area (monthly/quarterly based on customer needs)
