Summary:

The Director of Program Management plays a crucial role in developing, maintaining, deploying, and enhancing a top-tier program/project management process to deliver value to customers and shareholders. This position entails overseeing all engineering programs/projects across various locations and market segments. Additionally, the Director is responsible for ensuring Engineering meets customer and internal commitments for delivery, quality, and financial performance. This role involves engaging with select accounts and acting as a senior leader who handles decision-making, escalations, strategic relationships, and account growth pursuits.

 

Description:

  • Leads the Program Management Organization for “Advanced Technology Solutions” (ATS) Engineering across all segments and engineering sites.
  • Attracts, develops, and retains high-caliber program/project leaders.
  • Fosters a team culture centered around excellence, empowerment, commercially-savvy mindset, and customer focus.
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure successful project execution and attainment of strategic objectives.
  • Owns the global Engineering program/project performance.
  • Partners with the site & market segment teams to support customer & internal commitments for delivery, quality, and financial performance.
  • Develops and improves program/project management processes and governance.
  • Engages in customer-facing activities and strategic customer partnerships (for select projects, customers, or accounts).
  • Serves as a key decision-maker and customer advocate in select opportunities, projects, and programs.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Prefer advanced Program/Project Management training or certification (PMP, APM).
  • Strong customer engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams under pressure.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of industry experience, preferably 15 years.
  • Diverse professional background including roles in Engineering, Project Management, and customer-facing positions.
  • Broad experience and knowledge of commercial practices across different products and markets (Industrial, Energy, Aerospace & Defense, Healthcare, Life Science, and Semiconductor segments).
  • Previous attainment of Director-level role (or Senior Management equivalent level in a global organization).

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferably a Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
