The Buyer will create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials and provide routine administrative support. Buyer is responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing components from suppliers to assure timely delivery of parts to support production needs and adhere to the company’s Quality Management System.

Essential Job Functions

·         Read and analyze customer-supplied manufacturing specs and print packages to obtain necessary information required to quote jobs

·         Evaluate Bill of Materials and bids in accordance with the requirements specified by our customers

·         Negotiate pricing, lead time, and terms and conditions with our vendors

·         Create Purchase orders for the acquisition of materials

·         Monitor supplier performance

·         Resolve invoice discrepancies on a timely basis

·         Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes and purchasing

·         Adhere to company’s Quality Management System and comply to all related policies, and procedures

Requirements

·         Purchasing experience with electronics manufacturing required- such as PCBs PCBAs electronic components etc.

·         Experience with contracts and supplier relationship management

·         Communicate professionally through verbal and written format

·         Working knowledge of buying and ordering procedures

·         Working knowledge of computer systems that support production, inventory control, purchasing, production scheduling

·         Position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. We are ITAR certified and are bound by the International Traffic in ARMS Regulations
