Our food manufacturing client in greater Indianapolis is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee and enhance QC processes, ensuring their products consistently meet high standards. Working for an exponentially growing company within a tight-knit family environment, you'll manage a team, implement effective quality strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain product excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7-12 quality control professionals.
  • Perform food safety risk assessments and develop control strategies.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and customer service teams to integrate quality standards across the organization.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., cGMP, HACCP, SQF).
  • Act as a quality resource for new product testing, operational issues, and process improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of food production quality control experience
  • BS/MS in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in implementing quality strategies and driving continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools, software, and regulatory standards (cGMP, HACCP, SQF).
