Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

FPC Bangor is assisting a long time client search for an E & I Maintenance Planner to oversee the day-to-day backlog of maintenance. Must be self motivated, detail oriented with excellent time management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and prioritize and plan the backlog with operations and/or OMC
  • Maintain a 3-week ready to be scheduled backlog for the area you are responsible for as well as being ready for the one-day outages and annual outage
  • Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects in your area,
  • Hold a day planning meeting (or email) with operations and/or the OMC
  • Build quality full planned packages available to the supervisors / contractors with all information needed including but not limited to parts, manuals, explicit directions, schematics, job hazard analysis sheet, securing contractors and any check off or documentation sheets. You will be expected to be proficient at this by having past job plans that can be duplicated and then “tweaked” as needed easing this process. These job plans are to be kept in the company equipment folders.
  • Order any non-stock materials and get them into the stores list 
  • Maintain the PM system and manage it for the area of your responsibility.

Including but not limited to the correct generic planner supervisor one and two, correction of frequency, time allotted for job, updated job descriptions or procedures, all PM check off sheets created digitally and a location for technicians as well as creation of on demand group work orders for specific outages.

  • Maintain impeccable housekeeping in all work areas and regularly inspect machinery to be PM-ed with respect to safety issues inclusive but not restricted to the effectiveness of the PM system you are supporting and responsible for
  • Work with the supervisor to conduct proper follow-through on all maintenance issues ensuring prints, parts, and job reviews are complete and acted upon, work orders are being properly filled out as well as properly closed. Focus should be on moving towards tradespeople entering information electronically
  • Ensure compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures, and policies, in person and within all your planned packages,

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Associates Degree in a relevant maintenance field, or 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role.
