Job Title: Engineering Site Director
Location: Greater Minneapolis area
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Site Director to build and lead a world-class engineering team focused on delivering exceptional product development and commercialization services to our customers. In this key role, you will be responsible for the overall success and growth of the engineering services organization, collaborating closely with sales, manufacturing, and other stakeholders across our global network.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team:
○ Recruit, hire, and mentor a talented team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as project managers.
○ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
○ Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the professional development of team members.
● Drive Business Growth and Profitability:
○ Collaborate with Sales to develop compelling proposals and competitive service quotes for customers.
○ Manage the engineering services P&L, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet profitability targets.
○ Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities to expand service offerings.
● Ensure Technical Excellence:
○ Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the product development lifecycle, from ideation to market release.
○ Oversee the design and development of embedded systems, mechanical designs, and software solutions across Industrial, Smart Energy, Semiconductor Equipment, and Medical device markets.
○ Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
● Operational Management:
○ Plan and allocate resources effectively (personnel, tools, time) to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
○ Oversee the creation of high-quality design documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications for manufacturing.
○ Collaborate closely across functions to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
Qualifications:
● Education: BS degree in Engineering
● Experience:
○ 10+ years of experience in engineering, a significant portion in product design, including a solid background in medical device development
○ 8+ years of proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, with a strong track record of success.
○ Demonstrated expertise in developing Class II medical devices from concept to commercialization.
○ Solid understanding of embedded systems design, mechatronics, and systems engineering

○ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
○ Excellent project management and organizational skills.
○ Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles related to engineering projects and P&L management.
