Position Requirements

  • Primary engineering responsible for functional test development
  • Write test software (.NET, Visual C, C, C++, Visual Basic) to a good standard employing best practice principles ensuring integrity of the test system and of the product.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in multiple backgrounds (HW/SW).
  • Prepare test equipment quotations based on agreed test strategies and specifications, and recommend method of sourcing of equipment - in-house design & build, or contracted out.
  • Produce test equipment specifications ensuring optimum test performance, minimum test times, commonality of design where possible while satisfying accuracy, reliability, maintainability, usability, flexibility requirements.
  • Support Design for Manufacturing Test Requirements (DFT).
  • Implement solid, reliable, and repeatable test solution based on agreed test strategies and specifications.
  • Direct the Design, Build, and commission of process assembly and test equipment to standard company equipment designs and requirements.
  • Validate and obtain approval/sign-off of test equipment in accordance with department/company procedures and ‘best practice’ with documentation covering (as appropriate) - Calibration routines, Measurement System Analysis (MSA / R&R), Risk Assessment, Maintenance schedule, Recommended spares.
  • Establish and demonstrate test capability and First Time Test Yield - target 99%.
  • Assist the Test Maintenance departments both in their day-to-day activities and training.
  • Provide Customer support when required to address technical level discussions.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ Years experience in Test, Design, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Software programming capabilities in Lavbiew, .NET, and C++.
