Continuous Improvement Manager

The Continuous Improvement Manger will work across all aspects of business processes to align and execute the CI Operating System. They will lead events, support progression of CORE apprentice, and facilitate improvements.

Highlights of this position include:

• Exposure to project management and professional facilitation skills.
• Work across Operations functions. Value Streams, Quality, Human Resources, EH&S, Technical Services, Materials, SIOP, Industrial Engineering, Digital Technology.
• Lead and facilitate workshop / Kaizen / Value Stream Mapping events
• Assist in the development of tools and processes to make the progress of the organization visible to all.

Assignments may include opportunities across the operating system:

• Goal Alignment & Strategy (including strategic and annual planning)
• Lean and Robust Processes (including process management & process maturity, QCPC, 5S, and visual management)
• Lead consulting, coaching, development, and creation of kaizen project leaders across the business to drive CI activities in the site aligned to business and customer objectives
• Develop Strategy to leverage CI tools to successfully implement and continuously improve the Quality Management System, and consult & support leaders in the development of their CORE strategy for their employees & processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in a related field
• Automotive experience preferred
• Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering preferred and/or highly technical experience is preferred
• Proven history of planning and executing successful continuous improvement projects, kaizens, and value stream mapping events across multiple functions
• Proficiency in numerous continuous improvement tools and methods
• Demonstrated ability to teach and train others
