Great opportunity for a Director of Engineering to work for a North American industry leader located outside of Omaha and Lincoln, NE.
Our client is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to be responsible for all aspects of the Product Engineering Department, including oversight of the Product Engineering and R&D staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative engineering solutions to Customer Driven product specifications.
- Manages Engineering projects as assigned to completion in a timely manner.
- Develops detailed product descriptions and designs, development timelines, product cost estimates, test plans and product introduction/implementation plans based on product specifications supplied by Sales / Customers.
- Create and manage departmental budget.
- Support after sales service organization with technical assistance for problem resolution as well as communication on all product changes and introductions.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience including budget oversight
